Across All Times

Yesteryear I lived innocent time,
As pure as the white dress I wore.
At Trung Vuong I had loved you so,
Time went by dreams stayed a while.

Then leaving youth time behind,
In new land I built new life.
We met again when I was with child,
But just once more you left my side.

Many years apart we were,
Never I ceased my thoughts of you,
Or of old times – was it long ago?
When I rode my bike to come see you.

What thrill I had one day I chanced,
To see your smile to touch your hands,
To hear your voice to laugh with you,
My time you filled – wonder and love.

Here are few verses I write for you,
A special place in my heart you hold.
Across all times of the turning world,
Always I will remember you.
