The Wall

I have seen the wall
But did I see the crisis
Of misdirected compassionate hearts
To those who don’t deserve
Seeking a better life
Is not a valid reason
To receive sympathy and love
From those of rightful births
The security of our land
Must be the utmost objective
Even if the wall cuts us off
From the natural beauty of the earth
We feel a twinge of regret
For some inconveniences of a few
We shed a smaller tear
For the wildlife we disturb
We sure sleep better at night
Knowing we must be safe
From intruders of other lands
Who lack the decency
To lawfully follow orders
Created by men of rightful births
Oh why do they keep on coming
Despite the wall and the scorn
I do indeed see the crisis
That the wall not yet resolve
