A man is driving across the country by himself. He started
out in Richland. The road is long and lonely. He is tired. He does not have
many options. He must reach Urbana before the fall semester begins. He and his
wife had planned this trip months ago. At the end, she did not go with him. He
wishes her here to keep him company and help him drive. He is an emotional
wreck. He just became a daddy. His newborn daughter came six weeks early. His
wife stayed behind until they are ready to join him. He is thankful.
