He was tiny and special. Witnessing his birth and the
emotion his father expressed when seeing him for the first time were priceless.
I’m glad to be there. His mother’s siblings had left. His mother was exhausted,
but it was such a joyful event. We opened our hearts and welcomed the little
guy into our world. That was five years ago. The amaryllis bloomed for him
then. Today he swims, rides his bike, plays the piano, and will be a little
kindergartener. I hope the amaryllis continue to bloom and the world will be a
better place for his generation.
